3 Effective Lower Abs Workouts

Lying Leg Raises With Bent Legs

For a beginner this is the best workout. All that one needs is 5 sets of leg raises while lying on the ground. With the legs bent at 90 degrees shorten the range of the movement. Try this exercise for 5 sets of 20 reps while resting around for 30 to 60 seconds.

Lying Leg Raise With Straight Legs Followed By Planks


This exercise is slightly tougher than the above mentioned exercise. And following it with Plank will put much pressure in the abs region which would ultimately result in perfect lower abs. Plank should be done for 3 sets while lying leg raises should be done for 5 sets of 20 reps. Have a rest for around 60 seconds between sets.

Hanging Leg Raises Followed By Planks


This is the toughest workout of the lot with Hanging Leg Raises being the toughest exercise of the body part. To become master of this exercise, one might take as much as 6 months. Do this exercise for 5 sets of 20 reps. Follow up this exercise with 2-3 sets of planks, held for 2 minutes.
