We must have seen various posters of body builders at our gym while working out, but somehow we might have not known who they are or who is the best in the sport. Hence, we decided to bring you the greatest body builders of all time so that you guys can know about them. Read on to find about them below:


Joe Weider


Joseph “Joe” Weider was a Canadian bodybuilder and an entrepreneur who was credited to be the founder of the International Federation of Body Builders (IFBB) with his brother Ben Weider and second wife Betty Weider. The most prestigious Bodybuilding competition Mr. Olympia, the Ms. Olympia and the now defunct Masters Olympia bodybuilding contests were also created by him.

He also originated several bodybuilding and fitness-related magazines, namely Muscle & FitnessFlex MagazineMen’s Fitness and Shape, and was also one of the mastermind of a line of fitness equipment and fitness supplements.

Arnold Schwarzenegger


Arnold Schwarzenegger is a former Austrian-American professional bodybuilder, actor, producer, businessman, investor, author, philanthropist, activist, politician.

Schwarzenegger began his career at bodybuilding at the age of 15. He won his first Mr. Universe title at the mere age 20 and went on to win the Mr. Olympia contest seven times. Arnold has since been a prominent presence in bodybuilding and has also written various books and articles on the sport he loves the most. He is often considered to be among the greatest bodybuilders of all time as well as bodybuilding’s biggest icon and is often considered to be the person for whom body building reach its present stature.

Frank Zane


Frank Zane is a former professional bodybuilder and author from America. Having been a three-time Mr. Olympia, his physique is often considered to be perfect and one of the greatest in the history of bodybuilding as he put forth a particular focus on symmetry and proportion.

Zane is one of the handful men or to be more specific one of only three men to have defeated Arnold in a bodybuilding contest and also one of the very few Mr. Olympia winners under 200 pounds along with Franc Columbu. Overall, he contested for more than 20 years retiring after the 1983 Mr. Olympia. He has almost won all body building competitions present during his time such as Mr. America, Mr. Universe, and Mr. Olympia.

Lee Haney


Lee Haney is a former professional bodybuilder and one of the legends of the sport. Haney shares the invincible all-time record for most Mr. Olympia titles, having won eight titles the same as Ronnie Coleman. He was the first bodybuilder to break Arnold’s record of seven Mr. Olympia titles and went on to add one more in the year 1991 thus making a record of eight Mr. Olympia titles, the only person to do so, a record which he went on to hold for fourteen years, until Ronnie Coleman in 2005 equalled his record.

Dorian Yates


Dorian Andrew Yates is a retired English professional bodybuilder and entrepreneur. Having won the Mr. Olympia title an astounding six consecutive times from 1992 to 1997, he holds the fourth-highest number of Mr. Olympia awards of all time, behind Ronnie Coleman (8), Lee Haney (8), and Arnold Schwarzenegger (7) all of whom were his competitors atleast for one season. He is widely considered one of the legends in modern bodybuilding history. He further now owns chains of Fitness Centres and Fitness Supplement Products.

Ronnie Coleman


Ronnie Dean Coleman is a retired American professional bodybuilder who is often regarded as one of the greatest. Winning the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding title for eight years in a row, he has a huge fan following and is regarded as one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. Adding to his tally of eight Mr. Olympia titles as a professional bodybuilder, he also held another astonishing record for most wins as an IFBB professional with 26 titles, breaking the record held by Vince Taylor of 22 titles.

Jay Cutler


Jason Isaac Jay” Cutler is an American professional bodybuilder and a four-time Mr. Olympia winner. Cutler is often considered one of the best modern bodybuilders and encompasses a huge fan following. He now after retiring mainly focuses on his business venture which caters to supplement products.

Phil Heath


Phillip Phil” Heath is an American professional bodybuilder and the current Mr. Olympia who is still contesting in various professional body building competitions. Phil is a six-time Mr. Olympia winner, having won the competition every year from 2011 to 2016. His 2016 Mr. Olympia title tied him with Dorian Yates for the fourth all-time number of victories behind Lee Haney (8), Ronnie Coleman (8), and Arnold Schwarzenegger (7). Phil Heath is often considered the new Ronnie, who might even surpass the big man himself. He is widely popular and is often considered the greatest
